Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.
I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

How ironic is the timing of this video! No less than two days ago I decided I wanted a theme for the year and although you’re only asking for one word for 2012 I had chosen two.
The most important word out of the two is Gratitude.
Sometimes I have a hard time appreciating people or things until after the fact so I’m aiming to stop and enjoy each and every day in the present.
Thank you for this opportunity! Have a lovely week.
I follow TJ on Facebook and e-mail, and LOVE IT!
Overcome! With God, anything is possible.
My word for 2012 is ~SUCCESS~ as I’m looking for a healthy lifestyle change that will also bring weight loss! I have two grandsons and want to do all I can to be here for them and my family! I’m also looking for ~SUCCESS~ in other areas of my personal life as well!
Thanks, Lori!
