Congratulations to our two lucky winners! #358, Bobbiann; and #778, Tonya Dew!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.
I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of the year I had in 2011. I made you a little video message as to why I picked this word!
for·ti·tude ~ Mental and emotional strength in facing difficulty, adversity, danger, or temptation courageously.

My word for the year is OPEN. I want to be open to whatever God has in store instead of being so quick to say no. Every store OPEN sign reminds me to open my eyes, heart, ears, arms, etc this year. I’m excited for what I’m going to learn. 🙂
My word is simplify. I always seem to make my life more complicated than needed. Less is more! 🙂 would love to win a necklace. Thanks!
Blessed
Independant is my word for this year. I need to be independant in my life! Financial independance would chance my world, give me strenghth to do what needs to be done and would make me feel proud of myself. I would feel so proud for my children to see me independant! Thank you.
