I’m doing Talk To Me Tuesday a day early this week due to my back surgery on Thursday. I’m completely inspired by the Word of the Year and I hope you’ll participate in the challenge and giveaway.
Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2008?
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2009?
To encourage everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom pendant necklace with your Word for 2009, compliments of Tabetha over at Reminisce Heirlooms.
Contest Rules:
To make sure that I pick the correct winner (and I don’t miscount), I’ll be using Mister Linky instead of the comments.
1. Compose a post announcing your Word of 2009 AND a link back to Tip Junkie.com. If your blog is private, go ahead and enter but be sure to check our Winner Page to see if you won!
If you haven’t used Mister Linky before, here’s the low down (a.k.a rules). Another plus side of using Mister Linky is that it should bring you some traffic from blog-joggers. More accurate winner and more traffic to you – win/win.

I’m a new blogger – and love this site!
My word is “smile!”
Something I forget to do.
And it brings me happiness and serenity!
What a nice idea – my word is fortunate. There are so many people that are doing without the things they need right now. I feel very blessed to have a filled life.
I posted about this on New Year’s and my word for the year is: transition. I am linked up and I wish you a speedy recovery!
I posted about my word for the year on New Years day. I’ve been doing it for the last three years. I love it. My word for this year is FOCUS. You can read why in my post from Jan 1!
I love this idea! I’ve posted on my blog the word – Peace – My family needs some peace in our lives this year!
