Congratulations to our lucky winners! #139, Swenbourne; #245, The Lovely One; and #168, Tiffany M.!
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.
I thought long and hard about my word of the year and it came as a result of what I’ve been thinking about a ton this year, which is about being true to myself, and taking care of my aging skin {snicker}.
Be·YOU·tiful ~ Having beauty; having qualities that give great pleasure or satisfaction to see, hear, think about, etc.; delighting the senses or mind.
I just love the word, and the word play within the word, don’t you? I want to be sure that in 2013 I take care of ME as well as others, ‘cuz that’s important, too.
Word of the Year
Id LOVE to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2013. To encourage everyone to pick their word {cuz’ I think it’s a great thing to do}, I’m giving away THREE custom necklaces from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $56-$66 value. You can choose your necklace in either GOLD or SILVER.

I have “liked” you, TipJunkie on Facebook for quite a while. Yes, like does not cut it, is should be “love” or “inspires me” OR “is of tremendous help and/or assistance” or “has tons of tips that are helpful and a daily necessity”. I hope you understand what I am trying to say, like just does not cut it when it comes to you. 🙂

Forgiveness..
CREATE. I am a 38 year old mother of 3, married and have realized that I need to create my own happiness, create my own examples of love and generosity to my children, and create a happier home for my husband and children. I also want to create more, creatively. I want to create more with yarn, my photos, my vintage buttons, everything that I have purchased to make, but have been afraid of doing it wrong. SO, CREATE is my word.
