Homemade Laundry Soap {Recipe}

So, giving someone laundry soap as a gift may not be the norm, but it’s certainly practical.  You know they will use it.  Plus, if you attach the pretty gift tag (which you can download and print for free) no one will notice how practical it is.  It’s just a lovely homemade gift.

  1. Hi – just wanted to let you know that the link to this recipe doesn’t work (and I SO wanted to read it!! lol)
    Thanks for a great site – downloaded your app last night and can’t wait to have a good look!

  2. Hi Allison!

    Thank you for letting us know about the bad link. I’m not sure what happened but I have corrected the link so you can get the recipe.

    Thank you again and sorry for the inconvenience!

  3. I make this but in a liquid form..I melt the soap and then add the rest..I like the liquid soap better..I put it in a five gallon does last forever..

  4. I too have made this in liquid form and while it does last a long time, I find it to be very messy…I’m going to try this recipe (dry formula) and see if it works good for my laundry needs.
    Thank you. I love your site and find it to be very useful

  5. I have been using homemade laundry soap for several months now, I LOVE IT! so cheap and good! Not to mention there are so many chemicals and perfumes we dont know about in store bought laundry soap. Great recipe! Also, if you grate the soap on a really fine grate it helps the soap desolve so much better than if you are using a larger one.

    The link still don’t work tho, I was wanting to see the HE safe one. Thank you!
