Homemade or Semi-Homemade Contest

Everyone is invited to enter Tip Junkie’s Handmade Gifts Contest, no blog is required. {giddy} Tip Junkie members {that’s YOU!} will vote for THREE of the winners of $100.  That’s $100 bucks  to spend  however the winner wishes. {high fives}  My editors and I get to pick the other TWO winners of $100.  We just love having the opportunity to get together and ooh and ahh over your talent!

1.  Red Bow Crochet Cup Cozy ~ A simple crocheted cup cozy made to look like a red bow. Perfect for the holiday gift giving season. This pattern is great for beginners and also a quick project. Pattern & photo tutorial.

2.  Glitter Heart Journals ~ These Glitter Heart Journals are a perfect gift for yourself or any friend or family member. I had alot of fun making these as of course my favorite craft material is glitter! Have fun and Glitter it Up!

3.  eBook Cover ~ Take an old book and turn it into an e-book cover with this easy tutorial from NellieBellie!  You will need an old book, craft knife, poster board, fabric, and hot glue.  No special skills or materials are needed!

4.  Glitter Jar Tutorial ~ I am a HUGE fan of Glitter and Organization!!! I have found a vast amount of fabulous tutorials on how to incorporate glitter into our everyday lives and who am I to end this trend?

5.  Homemade Soap ~ Create soaps for the holiday gifts using quick and easy kits.

6.  DIY Wooden Family Sign ~ It was actually much easier than I originally thought it would be and is fairly cheap to make, so don’t let the small letters intimidate you because I’m going to show you an easy way to draw on the letters without having to buy expensive stencils.

7.  Woven Belt Tutorial ~ Use your old t-shirts to make a stretchy belt to go with filmy cardigans or dresses! Use this easy weaving technique to learn to make your own belt from t-shirt yarn.

8.  DIY Peplum Shirt Dress Refashion ~ I am loving the Peplum trend and have been dying to make a peplum shirt for quite some time now but hadn’t gotten around to it. Well, over the weekend, I was going through my closet and stumbled across an old dress that I had never worn and thought to myself, this would be a great dress to refashion into a peplum shirt, so I pulled out my sewing machine and got to work.

9.  Salvaged Trim Headband ~ You can salvage that scrap vintage trim you have laying around to create a one of a kind head band by only using a few materials and a few easy steps!

10. Easy Elastic Skirt Tutorial ~ Looking for a beginner sewing project?  This is the one!  This project can be completed in under an hour and is absolutely adorable.  When all your friends ask, “where’d you get that skirt?”   You can say, “I made it!”

11.  Manly Toiletry Bag ~ I made this toiletry bag for most of the men in our family since they all needed them.  This was a gift that was homemade as well as liked and used.

12.  Triangular Pouch Tutorial ~ I saw model of this pouch on my friend’s desk a few years ago. It was a long time ago, but my visual memory about that pouch was so strong so I tried to recreate my own version of this triangular pouch.

13.  Messenger Bag {tutorial} ~ Make this wonderful messenger bag.  It could also work great as a diaper bag.

14.  Sling Tote Bag ~ It’s a fabulous sling tote bag!  Make it with step by step instructions on this tutorial.

15.  Turkey Treats {free printable} ~ This recipe for party popcorn has Bugles added for mini cornucopias and mini toffee pieces. I worked with ingredients in a dark brown and gold color scheme to match our Thanksgiving printables. Yummy yummy for the season.

16.  Pumpkin Butter & Labels ~ We’ve got an abundance of pumpkins in our family garden this year, so I thought it’d be fun to roast a few of our extras for pumpkin puree and pumpkin butter. I’m especially excited about the pumpkin butter because there’s so much you can do with it.

17.  SOS Cookies ~ We often hear people say ” I don’t have enough time to cook”.  My SOS Cookies is the solution!  Ingredients are all ready to be cooked whenever you need it.  Also makes a nice present idea!

18.  French Petits Beurre Biscuits~ Learn how to make the traditional French Petits Beurre Biscuits.  They are made from the “Atelier Petits Beurre” kit from Larousse Editions.  It contains a little recipe book and a cutter pastry.  A perfect present idea!
