Easter is just around the corner so this week I took the time to figure out how to make our Holiday memorial, delicious and most of all, EASY. Thanks to HoneyBaked {a fabulous Tip Junkie sponsor} and these amazing tips, my holiday planning has gotten a lot easier. Easy and delicious? CHECK. Bring on the memories! {heck ya!}
Easter Entertaining Tips
1. Don’t stress about the cooking.
I’ve been going to HoneyBaked for my holiday food for several holidays now, and it’s made the world of difference to me. It’s allowed me to free up hours of stress-filled kitchen time so that I can enjoy the holiday. The food is delicious and easy as 1-2-3 to serve.
This is what you need to know about the HoneyBaked Ham or Turkey for your dinner!
- It needs to be refrigerated, and the Ham will stay fresh for 7 to 10 days. You can freeze unused ham portions up to 6 weeks.
- The HoneyBaked Ham (and Turkey Breast) are fully cooked and ready to enjoy at room temperature. No need to heat as it may cause them to dry out and lose flavor!
- The Turkey Breast is pre-sliced.
Here’s how to section your Ham:
- Using a knife, cut around the bone of the Ham.
Cut along the natural muscle line to remove the top section of slices.
Cut straight down from the base of the bone to release the remaining sections.
2. Use paper goods to spruce up your table.
Use decorative paper as place mats and layer your plates on colored paper plates for extra texture and color! Paper straws with flags are a great way to embellish beverages and if you really want to get crafty, tape a piece of decorative paper around your glasses. Little touches like these make a HUGE difference!
3. Recruit help!
If you have kiddos, have them help you in whatever capacity they are able. Not only will it make the holiday less stressful for you, it’s nice to be able to lend a helping hand, and they’ll remember. If you don’t have kiddos, get other family or friends to lend a hand! {wink}
4. Be Silly!
Laughter is always good and if I can keep my guests laughing, I consider that a successful meal. Hardboiled eggs as a prop at the dinner table worked wonders for me! Get creative!
