If you don’t like to wait for major national holidays to roll around, then start celebrating the lesser known holidays {like Read a Book Day!} Did you know that just about every day of the year has been designated as a “holiday”? Celebrating the wacky and fun day can bring tons of enjoyment. That’s why we are planning on making every day a holiday. Here are 8 Fun Ways to Celebrate Read a Book Day!
What is Read a Book Day? Well, Read a Book Day is a day set aside to honor the love of reading the written word. Read a Book Day falls on September 6th of every year. It’s hands down one of our favorite September Holidays! Who doesn’t love a good book?
How are you going to celebrate Read a Book Day? We are going to dump right into reading and curl up with our favorite book, do a little “book” crafting, and even throw a party with our Besties.
Good Books
1. There’s no better day than Read a Book Day {today} to head to your public library. Go alone or go with your kiddos, but go to the library. If you haven’t visited in awhile you might be surprised by the tranquil atmosphere. But,b eware, you might leave with a lot more books than you expected. {snicker}
2. Assemble a book nook in your home! If you already have one, then use it to read your favorite book! There are so many easy ways you can set aside an area of your home just for reading, and make it super functional and fun, too.
3. If you are in a good club, schedule it today. Here are some amazing ideas and tips for hosting a book club. If you are not in a club, it’s time to join one. (smiling)

4. Are you thinking holiday crafting already like we are? If so, today is the perfect day to make a Book Lover Gift in a Jar. We can’t get over how cool and easy this gift is.

We’ve tried this in the past and have always received a response from our author. The only question is, who is your favorite author, and will you only contact one? {laughing}
7. Throw a Book Lovers Party with your Besties! We can’t think of a better day to get your book-loving friends together with for food, books and fun!
8. Throw up your favorite book quote! If you are a social media maven, this is the perfect day to show the world that you LOVE books!
