My oldest child has high functioning autism. So to most people he looks like every other 8 year old boy. However, my son has autistic behaviors that can be difficult to understand and know how to handle.
Since he is mainstreamed, I make his church and school teachers a card every year letting them know key information that will help him learn and thrive.

THANK YOU!!!!! This is just great. My two oldest boys are high functioning autisic and both mainstreamed and I think this would be really great to give to teachers and such. I also love your daily schedule pictures. I can’t wait to put these two things together. Thank You Again!!!!

Wow, my heart goes out to you. I too have a son with high functioning autism. He is 20 now but I remember those early education days so well. As mom’s we know their full potential and know that if someone will embrace their uniqueness that they will adore our children. I also remember wondering as he grew up how much I should tell them knowing someday I would not have the opportunity to walk before him and explain his uniqueness. It was/is terrifying still. I hope your son has a fantastic year and that his teacher is a perfect fit for him! Blessings!
