Super Saturday is an annual craft day that is traditionally held in October at my church. It’s a creative woman’s mecca of handmade crafts gifts and creative ideas. It’s actually where I discovered my love for crafting! What makes this craft day so much fun is that most of these items are perfect for Christmas gifts! So if you’re looking for handmade Christmas gift ideas – these Super Saturday crafts are perfect!

Super Saturday Crafts
1. DIY Wooden Block Frame ~ These wood block frames are absolutely adorable and would be a fabulous housewarming or birthday gift. A wood candlestick was glued to a wood block, then painted and adhering the photo to the wood block with mod podge. Genius!
2. How to Sew a Zipper Pouch Tutorial ~ These adorable pouches are a great sewing project for beginners. You can give it as a stand-alone gift, or make multiples and fill them as party favors or gifts for a wedding party. They would also be cute stocking stuffers for teens.
3. DIY Nautical Themed Magnets ~ You can spruce up your fridge with these simple magnets made from glass beads and scrapbooking paper. You could also use this same technique but substitute small photos of the kids instead of scrapbook paper. The grandparents would love a set of those!
4. Chore Sticks ~ Some kids need a little more detail when it comes to doing their chores. Break your chores down to the nitty gritty with these chore sticks and FREE printable chart. Print out the chores and mod podge them onto craft sticks.
5. Scripture Goodies {free printable} ~ This jar full of bubblegum is a fun incentive to encourage reading the scriptures. Makes a great handout for a lesson.
6. Etched Casserole Dish ~ The sky’s the limit on what you could design and put on your glassware. You could do Christmas themes, family names, birthday candles, on and on. A wonderful gift for the foodie in your life.

7. DIY Thankful Board ~ A great piece of Thanksgiving decor that has a really great sentiment behind it! All you need is an old frame and cardstock and envelopes and your family to gather around and write all the things they are grateful for.
8. DIY Wood Nativity ~ Come let us adore him! Make this wooden nativity with 2×2 wood, wooden balls, paint and fabric scraps. The simplicity of this set is gorgeous.
9. DIY Peppermint Candy Bowls ~ Isn’t this candy bowl absolutely adorable?! Starlight peppermints were melted down and conformed into the shape of a bowl. Makes a fun Christmas gift idea.

10. LDS Temple Blocks ~ I’m Going there Someday ~ Lil’ Luna provides antiqued images of all of the LDS temples that can be mod podged to wood blocks.

12. Fabric Envelopes ~ Sew a simple fabric envelope that would be perfect for holding your temple recommend. A great scrap buster project.
13. Names of Christ Study Flip Books {free printables} ~ There are 72 names to study from this flip book. Boy and girl versions are available to download and print.
14. DIY Felt Golden Plates ~ A simple craft using felt, binder rings, spray paint and a hot glue gun. Craft your own golden plates for family home evening.

15. Peppermint Candy Sugar Scrub ~ Even though this is a seasonal sugar scrub doesn’t mean you can’t savor it throughout the year. This sugar scrub recipe is incredibly easy. Make several small containers of varying scents to keep on hand for quick gifts.
16. DIY Creaseless Hair Ties ~ These elastic hair ties are so adorable and colorful! You will be amazed at how simple they are to make and how much money you will save doing it. If you can tie a knot and use scissors you can definitely make these. Fold over elastic, sold in fabric stores, is the secret to making your own headbands.
