I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}
Word of the Year
IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.
If you are on twitter, you can even earn an extra entry for sharing this tweet with your followers. (This is completely optional.) Example Tweet: Tweet

My word would probably be Cherish. What an amazing word! Thanks for a great giveaway.
My word for the year is “HAPPY”. That is the first word that came to mind today. It is so important to be happy and no one has control over it but yourself. This year will be a happy year for me! (Come what may.)
CHOICES
is my word. We all make many choices everyday. From the simple things like what to wear, what to eat to the choices that directly effect the others in our lives.
In 2011, I will give careful consideration to the choices I make; for those choices I make today make me who I am tomorrow.
My word is unexpected.
That is how my year is starting a few unexpected blessings have come my way.
