I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}
Word of the Year

I think my word has to be CLEANSE. In all aspects of life, I’m decluttering physical stuff in my home, cleaning up my eating habits, and freeing myself (and family) from all the extra clutter in life.
Health
I’ve struggled with weight and unhealthy habits for quite some time. My daughter was just diagnosed with a gazillion allergies. This is the year I bring health to myself and my family.
After watching your video I thought how much I want to plan and Dream for the future. You are so inspiring. So, yes it’s lame (but please think of it as a compliment) I would like to enter my word as “Dream” also. Thanks a bunch! You are great! =)
My word is HUMILITY.
i want to grow in humility over the coming year… it’s a scary thought!
My word of the year is JOY.
