I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

My word for 2011 would be family. Being together with my entire extended family for the holidays made me realize how special they are to me and important in my life.
2011 is sure to bring much laughter and joy, but as I look ahead I also acknowledge that there will be many challenges coming my way. My word of the year is “PERSEVERE”- I am keeping faith that as long as I am persistent in my pursuits, I will find happiness and success. Nothing in life is ever certain and there are always obstacles along your path to greatness, but I believe it is perseverance that grants you the strength to carry on and make your dreams come true. In 2011, I am not giving up 🙂
My word would be: ENDURE
My word of the year is FAITH.
Faith in God, Faith in my self and faith in my marriage.
I try too hard to make my own way and create my own plans but need to realize that God is the one in control. I also don’t give myself enough credit for my God-given skills and abilities.
Here’s to a great year!
My word of the year is “merci” to encourage myself to cultivate a heart of gratitude and thanksgiving!
