I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

My word for 2011: SIMPLIFY
I am really inspired by the words that have been chosen this year and love hearing the stories behind the choices. My word for this year is FOCUS.
My word this year is Discipline. My overarching goal for the year is completing things I start and make progress in my life!
TIME – time with my kids, time with my husband, time with my extended family, time in prayer, time with God, time serving others, time for me, time to see what’s around me and not just do. time to love how a person needs it the most . . . time is my word for 2011.
Attitude – as in I need to choose my attitude instead of letting the kids choose it for me
