I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.
If you are on twitter, you can even earn an extra entry for sharing this tweet with your followers. (This is completely optional.) Example Tweet: Tweet

BE
“SING” years ago, at a retreat, the speaker said that we sing ALWAYS sing..in good and the bad times. It is EASY to sing when we are happy, but it is NOT so easy when we are mad or sad. So this year EVERYTIME I am hurt by others, mad with my little ones or hubby or others, or sad I am just going to start singing…
Fun. We need some fun this year!
CHANGE. I’ve been forced to do a lot of it this year and it can be a truly wonderful thing!
I would choose LOVE. The world needs to be filled with more of it!
