I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:

My word for the year its “savor”. This its the year for me to slow down and savor my many blessings. Faith -family- friends – food… All to be enjoyed for the gifts they are.
