I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

How To Win!
Simply leave your Word of the Year in the comments.
Feel free to leave your post link or video, if you’ve created one.  Contest ends Jan. 11th.
My word is ‘spontaneous’. I will become a new mom this year and being more spontaneous (to whatever degree a newborn will allow) with my husband and fun and creative with time spent with my little angel too is my goal for the year. Getting wrapped up in all the details is exhausting and all the other stuff doesn’t matter anyways. Cheers to 2011!
PASSION
My word for 2011 is BALANCE. I am hoping to find BALANCE in all aspects of my life (family, home, church obligations, friends, and my relationship with my hubby). I am looking ofrward to this New Year!
Thanks for the chance to win!
Have a great 2011.
It is amazing that you are talking about the word of the year, because the other day I was listening to KLOVE and they were talking about a word for the year and as I listened I started to think about what my word to could be and the Lord layed the word “NEW” on my heart. With the beginning of a new year I want to be able to be a new person, I want to try new things(which I sometimes am hestitant because I am scared of failure), I want to meet new people, and since I am out of work I’m looking to see if the Lord is leading me into a new field of work. I guess you can also say that everyday is a New day and I want to make the best of each day. Thanks for all that you do. Jenny P
my word of the year this year will be “Serenity” i would like this year to settle down, let me catch my breath and put the things that are really important first!!!
