I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”

My word for 2011 is JOURNEY. The precious love of my life, my beloved husband, passed away December 3, 2010 after a long illness. We traveled together on his medical journey to his peaceful end. My job now is to continue a seperate journey where my responsiblity will be to arise from the pain of his absence and go forth.
