I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

Enjoy is the word I would pick! I really want to enjoy this year! Enjoy my family, my church family, my work for my church, the people I meet, and the life the Lord has given me! Even to enjoy my troubles, because He can and will get me through them!
My word this year is purpose! I am going to make this a purposeful year!
Thanks Laurie for your great site. In the past several years I have allowed things and my calendar to come before God and my husband. In my wedding vows there was a phrase ….”constant faith and abiding love”. This is what I want to show and live for Christ and for my amazingly patient husband. SO I guess my word would be “ABIDE”. My priority is to abide in God’s word, and abide in love for my husband by living a life that reflects that. I am no longer going to be the woman who everyone goes too for everything. I will be the woman of my husband dreams and the servant that God desires me to be.
