I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
What’s My Word of the Year? You’ll have to watch my video to find out.{{giggle}}

IÂ’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011? To encourage {or bribe} everyone to pick their word, I’m giving away a custom necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs, a $52 value.

Respect is my word this year.
My word this year is contentment. I want to become content with myself, my husband, my children, my friends, my life….. I need to let go and be thankful for where God has placed me NOW!
Love this idea!! My world for this year is POSITIVE. 🙂
My word for the year is FOCUS…focus on the present; focus on the future; focus on the good in life; focus on family…well you get the picture.
