There are so many ways to organize a play group. Here are three suggestions:
1. Mother’s Day Out:
Schedule a Mother’s Day Out with up to 4 (depending on age) kids come over to your house for 2-3 hours on a rotating basis. Every mom takes a turn (every Tuesday) and therefore it’s more like a “mommy’s day out”. The benefits are that you have 3 Tuesdays without your child to run errands or have a fun day yourself. The cons is that once every 4 weeks you have four children at your house.
2. Social Hour:
Have up to 4 (depending on age) kids come over and parents stay. This makes more of a social atmosphere where every parent is in charge of their own children. Pros are that you get to see your friends every week. Cons are that you don’t have alone time without the kids.
3. Park:
Meet up at a park instead of meeting at someone’s house. Have a bad weather day spot picked out just in case like McDonald’s.
