Lamps and shades can completely warm up and bring instant character into a room.  I’ve found 22 pretty ways to makeover lamp shades for decorating your home.  These lamp shades can be used in any room of your home.

How to Redo a Lampshade

1.  Ruffle Lampshade Tutorial ~ Look at this giant ruffle lampshade.  Isn’t it fun and fabulous?!  The fabric pattern and color are perfect.

2.  Dragonfly Lampshade {step by step} ~ This step by step guide shows us how to embroider a dragonfly into a lampshade.  Using carbon paper and painters’ tape, add stripes and a design onto your plain lampshade.  Twine is used here, but ribbon or embroidery floss would work, too, if you want more color!

3.  Sweater Lamp Shade ~ Look at this beautiful upcycled sweater lamp shade!  It’s another great project for using an old sweater.  Only two supplies are necessary, an old sweater and a lampshade.  Slide it over a lampshade for Fall and remove it for Spring.

5.  Lampshade Makeover ~ This Anthropologie inspired lampshade is a phenomenal statement piece!  Six rolls of grosgrain ribbon were used to complete the makeover.  Start by securing the ribbon with a safety pin and begin wrapping around the shade.
