Did you know that just about every day of the year has been designated as a “holiday”? Celebrating the wacky and fun day can bring tons of enjoyment. That’s why we are planning on making every day a holiday. Here are a few Fun Ways to Celebrate National Brownie Day!
National Brownie Day
What is National Brownie Day? Well, National Brownie Day is set aside to enjoy the treat that was created in the United States in the late 1800’s. The dessert that is a mix between a cookie and cake is a staple dessert in most American’s homes! National Brownie Day is celebrated on December 8th of each year.
We seriously can’t try enough brownie variation recipes. From basic chocolate, to blonde brownies, to mint, to caramel, we love them all. Here’s a fun factoid! A Chicago chef, working at the Palmer House Hotel, was asked to create the first brownie for a group of ladies who wanted a dessert that could be packed in a lunch. The first brownie featured an apricot glaze and walnuts. If you are ever in Chicago, the Palmer House Hotel still serves their original brownie recipe!
We can’t think of a better day than today to EAT A BROWNIE! Here are some ways we came up with to celebrate the day. Be sure to check out the other fun and wacky December holidays you can celebrate with us!
