I needed a place to record things I ran out of in the kitchen. I decided the best way to do this was to use a clipboard and some chalkboard paint. I created some “chalkboard art” writing with a white paint pen. Now I have somewhere to record what I need to remember to buy, and the clip works for holding coupons!

You Will Need...
- clipboard
- chalkboard paint
- Sharpie paint pen
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
I stained the boards so that later on I would be able to distress the edges. I wanted the piece to look a little older and worn. I also sanded the metal clip as well.
Step 2
I painted the clipboard with four coats of chalkboard paint. When it was dry, I used a white paint pen from Sharpie to write on the words I had sketched. The board says “Remember to Buy”
Step 3
Finally, I sanded the edges of the board. I also seasoned it so that I can begin writing on it.
