It’s time for fall ball which means I’m in the car a lot! For those fellow soccer moms out there, here are my tips on four must have items you should have in your trunk at all times, just in case. Right now I’m driving a Chevy Malibu and loving the massive trunk space.
Soccer Moms
As a soccer mom here’s a quick list of ‘must have’ items I keep in the trunk of my car, just in case!
- Umbrella – In case it rains which happens a lot this time of year in Texas.
- First Aid Kit – So I can properly take care of those boo-boo’s.
- Soccer Chair – In case the stands are filled or we’re at a field that doesn’t have any seating.
- Extra Car Seat – For those impromptu play dates or times when a friend calls and I unexpectedly need to carpool a child home.

If you want to see a silly video I made to demonstrate how big the Chevy Malibu trunk really is, here is Tip Junkie’s got junk in her trunk video. It’s really short and I had a blast making it. {{giggle}}

I had to giggle when I saw your Soccer Mom post. We are in week 3 of Soccer Momville and our list keeps getting longer. Silly me, I showed up at the first game with a water bottle for my 4 year old and nothing else. The list started when I got back into the car……bigger water bottle, camera, chairs, something for the 21 month old to do (to distract her from running on to the field that her BIG sister wasn’t very interested in being on.) Last week it was hot (we live in Texas too) I had to add umbrella -for my little soccer princess to sit under to keep her cool – (I know, it sounds silly but I was apparently one of the few moms that missed THAT memo) and ice packs to hold, to help keep her cool. ( I do not recall ANY of that kind of pampering when I played 100 years ago) Anyway, if the list get any bigger, I may need to borrow your Mailbu and your boys to help us carry everything to her games. Love your blog! Hugs, Tara

We’ve got our weeks full of soccer too. Few of my must haves include
– our sportbrella – basically a giant sun umbrella that creates a cave on the ground. Protects from sun/wind/weather & is much cooler under it which is nice here in Utah
– my jj Cole anywhere blanket – waterproof so when the ground is wet or really dirty we don’t get dirty!
Those +your list make up my must haves! Oh yeah can’t forget water/snacks, something for my 2yr old to do & of course the camera/video camera!
Love soccer season – around here we play year round thanks to a wonderful youth indoor program!!
