This Thursday we’re going to feature Father’s Day tutorials. I’ve found some great ones and I hope you’ll be inspired to make one of them for your man. Enjoy!
Cooking: Check out these bacon placemats! I know my man would love this for breakfast on his special day.
Design: Monogram Momma made an easy tutorial on how to monogram ties, using a chain stitch.
Marie makes picture e-mail cards. She makes signs for the occasion, takes pictures of the kids, then e-mails them. What a great idea! What dad wouldn’t appreciate this at work the Friday before Father’s Day.
One of my amazing friends’ husbands, Jordi, did this for Mother’s Day. He took a picture of each child holding a blank sheet of paper, made the picture black and white, added a message on the paper, and had each picture framed. He hung them on the wall in a row for Mother’s Day and they were all ready when Diana came down for breakfast that morning.
This was years ago, but I still haven’t forgotten it! You could do this same sort of think for your man’s desk at work. Maybe you could sneak in during his lunch break.
Gift Idea: Melanie has come up with a great gift idea, an iPod holder!
Scrap Craft: Over at Splitcoast Stampers they have some great tutorials. Here’s a CD Case you can make for honey along with that mix CD.
Scrap Craft: Take a look a this wallet tutorial from Nichole Heady! Here are some of her suggestions on what to put in the wallet:
- A mini album with pictures of his children/grandchildren
- Coupons for personal services from you, like having the lawn mowed or a rain check for a special outing
- Gift card to his favorite restaurant or store
- A special handwritten note from a child
- An appointment card for a nice massage at the local spa
Sewing: Jessica made a tutorial for a passport sleeve. What a creative idea!
Sewing: Katie made this wallet out of a leather skirt.
Thanks Ladies these are great! If you don’t already have a “I’ve been Featured” button, feel free to copy the code and wear it proudly on your blog.
If any of you have taken the time to post a tutorial e-mail me and I’ll feature it!
