At least find out if the teacher likes apples and if so what kind does she like. Red delicious are not delicious but Galas and Fujis don’t last long at my house!
@adrian, you are right on the money. The reason sometimes the walls are bare is that we end up spending our own money on classroom “decor”, even though it is necessary. My favorite is the beach towel, sunscreen and magazine. Ideas? Gift cards from restaurants, office supply…places YOU would go! Please, please no more apples unless it is a first year teacher. The best “crafty” gift I’ve seen was a mini – scrapbook with a page from each student, some class activity/field trip pictures…a record of the year.
