Want to know the top 10 fashion trends for the holidays and have amazing style? Hi, I’m Allison Czarnecki from Petit Elefant which is a lifestyle blog. That means I write about anything I want, which ends up being a lot about fashion and style. I live in Utah with my fabulously handsome husband and two adorable kiddos, and I’m here to share some of my favorite holiday style trends on Tip Junkie today in her 10 tips on Holiday Trends series. Enjoy!
Top 10 Style Trends
1. FUR
You know you want to get in on the fur trend. It’s all faux fur, of course, but nothing says winter like a little fringe of fur on your sweater.
2. WOOL SWEATERS
Wrap yourself up in a little bit of wool over the holidays, especially if it’s a little bit of wool featuring Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
3. KNITS
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like a cute pair of knit gloves, especially a pair of hot pink gloves that take you back to 1985.
4. AVIATOR JACKETS
This new aviator trend has me 10 kinds of happy. Anytime you mix a leather aviator jacket + shearling fur it’s a total win in my book.
5. LONG SKIRTS
Believe it or not, long skirts weren’t just for the pioneers. Long skirts hit all the major runways last fall, so if you live in a cold climate you’ll appreciate the new trend that keeps your gams warm all season long.
6. BOOTS
Everyone needs at least one pair of boots in their arsenal, preferably a pair of cute leather knee-length boots that can be worn over skinny jeans.
7. MILITARY
Not into the whole Michael Jackson look? That’s okay, military jackets for women shy away from the Thriller look while making you look like your hottest self.
8. LACE
Lace isn’t just for grandma anymore. Pick up a lacy black number for the holiday party on your schedule, you’ll outsass everyone in attendance.
9. BRIGHT CLUTCHES
I’m queen of the purse, I always have a million and one things in my bag, but when you’re at a holiday party, there’s no need to bring the kitchen sink. A gorgeous little clutch will do the trick, but do me a favor: no matchy-matchy okay?
10. SEQUINS
Sequins aren’t just for junior high dances, they’re for the holidays. A sequin vest, in the right color {that color is black}, adds just the right amount of sparkle without being gaudy.
