If you’re looking for an easy way to capture the grade number that your kiddo is going into this new school year, here are some darling speech bubbles that they can hold to make their fist day of school picture a little more memorable.
How to Make:
For the best results, print these First Day of School speech bubbles onto matte photo paper, although any paper will do. {wink} Next, cut out the pieces and tape {or glue} onto a wood dowel or kabob skewer, optional.
First Day of School ~ Hat Photo Props
For a little more fun and a nontraditional way to capture the grade number your child is going into this new school year, here are several hat photo props for girls and boys.
All the photo props are available for Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade. So yep, that includes preschool, Elementary School, Middle School {or Jr. High}, as well as High School. There are also blanks ~ so you can write in actually anything that you’d like! Sky’s the limit on what you can use these fun photo props for.
Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade
The hats are designed with blank grades so that you can easily tape {or glue} on the appropriate grade level for your child. For instance, the top had {shown above} has a blank rectangle in the front so that you can pop on the grade level rectangle {printable also included} that’s appropriate for your kiddo.
All of the photo props and hats are designed this way for your convenience: Silver Crown, Gold Crown, Top Hat, Bow Tie, and Cowboy Hat.
How to Make:
For the best results, print these First Day of School Photo Props printables onto matte photo paper, although any paper will do. {wink} Next, cut out the pieces and assemble together by taping {or gluing} onto a wood dowel or kabob skewer. Print out the corresponding grade number then cut and tape {or glue} onto the prop.

Its Time for Eigth Grade! These paper watches not only make a fun photo prop for back to school, but they are also something that they can wear throughout their last day of school, if they want. Take these paper watches to school as an activity to say good bye to their school friends for the summer.
How to Make:
For the best results, print these First Day of School printable watches onto matte photo paper, although any paper will do. Next, cut out the corresponding grade number and tape to fasten the paper watch onto their wrist.

Folded Note Card
You’ll be using these folded note cards for years. Here are few suggestions on how to use them:
- Write your child an encouraging note of a job well done for their last day of school.
- Meet the Teacher Card ~ During parent orientation or “meet the teacher” present this card to your child’s new teacher with a drawing or quick “hello” from your child.
- Teacher Thank You Card ~ Write a special thank you note inside and Thank You on the outside for your teacher.
- All About Me Card ~ Include a picture of your child and a few details about your son/daughter that their new teacher will need to know to set them up for success this school year.

There’s one for every grade level as well as several blank ones so that you can use the cute pattern for whatever you want. It was too cute not allow it to become a template for any type of sign that you need to quickly make in a few minutes. {I’ve got your back!}
How to Make:
For the best results, print these First Day of School printable grade level sign onto matte photo paper, although any paper will do. You can cut them out so the white border doesn’t show or use them as is. You can also glue on a dowel or paint stir-stick if you’d prefer that they hold that instead.
