These free printable letters have been a staple in my home for years and I’ve used them for birthday parties, to decorate a gym for church events, graduation party, and I’ve even printed them out at 60% for smaller banners and to personalize gifts.  Here are a few ways that I’ve used them and hopefully you’ll find many more!

1. Bulletin Board Template

2. Alphabet Banner Template

How to Make Alphabet Banner:

  • Print out the free printable letters onto cardstock
  • Cut out
  • hole punch twice
  • String onto grosgrain ribbon

Tip and Trick: Using carstock will prevent the letters from curling or blowing outside in the wind.  Hole punching twice will allow the letters to hang evenly, especially the I and L.  Using a 1/4″ or larger grosgrain ribbon will prevent the letters from slipping into each other.  You want the ribbon to fill the hole punched hole well.  This way you don’t have to use any tape.

3. Party Game Signs

Blue and Gold Party Games

Since these free printable letters are a full size page 8.5 x 11 they make for great party game signs.  In this case, I used them to direct guests in a church gym so everyone can quickly see what games are available and how to play.

How to Make Party Game Signs:

  • Print out the free printable letters onto cardstock
  • Cut out
  • Staple onto bulletin board or sting onto ribbon

For these party game signs, I threaded them on ribbon and used a Tpin to attach to the walls.  The party game signs doubled as party decor which was perfect for the huge size of the gym and took up a lot of space.

How to DIY Table Decor:

  • Print out the free printable letters onto cardstock
  • Cut out
  • Lay out onto thick ribbon
  • Double-stick tape the letters onto the ribbon
  • Use a tiny safety pin to attach to tablecloth

Tips and Tricks:  Print out a phrase in your party theme like I did with SERVE to remind your guests the purpose of your event.  Other ideas are to personalize the table banner into the guest of honors name or event name.  For this table I did WELCOME above the table and the party theme below the table.

5. Personalized Signs

I printed these free printable stencils onto white cardstock.  Once again, I was decorating a gym and needed a personalized banner to welcome all the guests for this graduation party.  Yes, I see the trend. {giggle}  It seems I only take pictures when I’m decorating for other people.  However, I’ve used these letters in so many other ways like decorating my mantel and entry way and you can personalize literally anything!

How to Make Personalized Signs:

  • Print out the free printable letters onto cardstock
  • Cut out
  • hole punch twice
  • String onto fishing line

Tip and Trick: One cool thing I did for this graduation party was used fishing line to hang the personalized sign.  Therefore the sign looked like it was floating in mid air and was a really cool accent to the food tables.

6. Personalized Banners

Lego Party Decorations to Make by TipJunkie

I used a different alphabet font for this Lego party, however I wanted to make sure I showed you how cute it is when you use foam pop dots to glue them onto paper.  I’ve added the link to the Lego font below so if you’re hosting a Lego party in your near future you’ll have that handy.
