Use a Wet Brush
Whether your hair is curly, straight, or somewhere in between, a wet brush will detangle your hair in seconds, saving you tons of time in the long run! Plus, it won’t break your hair so not only does the brush help you save time detangling, it’ll save your hair, too. It’s a win/win.
Keep Dry Shampoo on Hand
Dry shampoos are a huge time saver because they make it so that we don’t have to wash our hair every day. Good dry shampoos soak up oil and clean the hair without water, leaving your hair smelling fresh. Best of all, dry shampoos give your hair VOLUME.
Don’t Be Afraid to Try Messy Braids
Braids are super in right now and if you are having a bad hair day, throw your tresses in a braid. Achieve the messy look that’s so popular right now by lightly pulling your braided pieces outward, widening the braid. Be sure that you don’t pull too hard or too far or you’ll pull your braid right out. An added bonus to the messy braid look is that you’ll save time on your hair and your hair will look fuller.
Plump Up Your Lashes
False lashes are fabulous, but they take time to apply. If you don’t have time, try this trick: apply a coat of mascara and then dust your lashes with baby powder. You can use a clean eye makeup brush or a Q-tip. Then, apply another coat of mascara. The mascara sticks to the baby powder, plumping up your lashes, without falsies.
Make Your Eyeliner Smoky
Smoky eyeliner is not only fabulous for the holidays, it’s timeless. It makes the eyes pop in the best way. Make your eyeliner Kohl for easy application by heating it up. Here’s how: hold a lighter to the tip of your eyeliner for a second or two. Then, let it cool for about 15 seconds before applying and smudging your eyeliner for the timeless look.
Make Your Eyeshadow Pop
Use white eyeshadow as a base for your regular shadow. In other words, apply over your entire lid. This works to make your eye shadow appear more vibrant making your eyes pop and sparkle! {wink}
Use a Primer
You may think that adding a makeup primer to your routine does not save you time, but it does my friends, it does. It’ll keep your makeup on your face A LOT longer so it’ll save you a ton of time in the long run. Plus, it’ll balance out foundation streaks, minimize pores, and reduce redness on the face.
Give Your Face A Glow
Invest in an all-over powder that will illuminate and make your skin glow. Yep, there are products out there that will do that. Promise. Now is the time to at luminosity to your skin. Just apply all over the face with a blender brush!
Make Your Lips Look Fuller
Thin lipped girls will love this one! Apply your regular lipstick (but since it’s the holiday season, I recommend going for something bold). Then, apply shimmery white eyeshadow to the center only of your lips. This creates an illusion of fuller lips. So easy.
