I’m all about making things easier, less expensive, and more effective, so any time I can find a way to save money, save time, and save energy, I do it. That’s why I’m a “hack” junkie.
Finding new cleaning hacks makes my day because who wants to spend their time cleaning? These BRILLIANT HOUSE CLEANING HACKS will change the way you clean. You won’t believe how easy they are to implement and how much time they will save you.

LET YOUR BLENDER CLEAN ITSELF
I was watching a Blendtec product demonstration when I learned this tip. I have to tell you that I was a little ticked that I hadn’t thought of it myself. I’ve spent my whole adult life hand washing my blender canister and frankly trying to avoid using it because I hate hand washing.
So, imagine my surprise when I learned that the easiest way to clean your blender is to fill it about 1/3 of the way full with warm water, add a squirt of dish soap, and then blend for about 15 seconds. Rinse with warm water, and your blender will be ready for another use.
It’s important that you do this directly after using your blender or the food will stick to your blender canister and may not come off with this method alone.
USE DRYER SHEETS – BUT NOT IN YOUR DRYER
This hack is truly brilliant!
Soak your dirty pans with a dryer sheet in them.
Sounds crazy, right? Just place a dryer sheet in the bottom of your pan, add warm water (and dish soap if the pan is really bad), and let soak for about an hour or overnight if needed. Apparently the chemicals in dryer sheets help release stuck-on food so that it’s much easier to clean.
This works particularly well on cookie sheets with edges. Just lay a few Bounce sheets on the cookie sheet, add water, and let soak. You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to clean.

USE A COFFEE FILTER TO CLEAN YOUR TV SCREEN
Coffee filters make excellent cleaning towels for your TV screen. They’ll wipe off the dust and fingerprints without using any chemicals or leaving behind lint!
CLEAN YOUR MICROWAVE WITH A LEMON
I recently learned about this hack and I really love that it works! It smells great and it’s all-natural, too.
Place a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave filled with about 1 cup of water. Then, cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into the water. Drop the rinds into the water after you’ve squeezed the juice out. Then, microwave on high for 3-5 minutes. You want the water to come to a boil. Let the lemon/water mixture sit in the microwave for about 5 minutes after microwaving without opening the door. Wipe the inside of the microwave with a damp washrag.
The steam and natural cleaning agents in the lemon will make the microwave wipe down almost effortlessly!
REMOVE PET HAIR WITH A WET RUBBER GLOVE
If you have a pet that sheds, you are going to LOVE this hack.
Rub your hand over surfaces that contain pet hair, wearing a damp rubber glove. The pet hair will stick to the rubber glove.
This works really well on upholstered surfaces, too!
CLEAN YOUR TOILET BY MAGIC!
Well, not really, but almost.
As far as I’m concerned those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are magic, and I just found out that you can use them to help get rid of that ring in your toilet.
Just cut a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in half and drop it in your toilet bowl. Let it soak overnight and then scrub the ring. It should come off much easier.
And, you know how the underside of your toilet seat can get discolored? Use the other side of the Magic Eraser to clean that!
Make sure you dispose of both sides in the trash, not the toilet.
