Everyone got such a kick out of this costume. Inspired by the TV series Extreme Couponer.
Here is how I made the costume:
I made a t-shirt and ironed on the words “Extreme Couponer”
My hair was messy like I was up all night clipping coupons… I even pinned some coupons in my hair
I made buttons that were pinned to my shirt and pants with funny saying about couponing on them.
I had a grocery cart that I put the “Publix” logo
Inside the cart I stacked empty boxes of different items including cereal, feminie pads, toothpaste, bandaids, and laundry soap (very typically free or inexpenive items in the couponing community)
I had a recyclable tote
I wore blinged out scissors around my neck as a necklace (I glued on crystals to bling out the scissors)
and if you look near my right shoulder I had the blurbs they put under the couponers on the show Extreme Couponer — (ex. Christine Neely Boca Raton, FL couponing for 2 yrs.)
I had a REALLY long receipt in hand
And, had some clipped coupons glued together (which is what Im holding up in the picture)
It was a super simple costume and EVERYONE thought it was hysterical!!
