WATCH THE ROSE PARADE
Start your year out with a fabulous parade. Who doesn’t like watching marching bands that are the best in the nation playing in between floats made up entirely of flowers? Astounding.
WRITE YOUR NEW YEARS RESOLUTION LIST
If you are like most of us then you haven’t exactly gotten around to making your list. Stop having those ideas bump around in your brain. Make your resolutions official and write a list. Then do something about it. {wink}
TRY YOGA
Almost everyone has exercise on their resolution list, so why not give exercise in the form of yoga a try on New Years Day? Yoga is known for cleansing and renewal, so it’s perfect for men, women, and children on New Years Day, and all year, really.
PUT AWAY THOSE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS
Most people are so done with holiday decorations by the time the first day of the New Year rolls around. Pack up those festive decorations and give your house a good cleaning. It’ll make your whole outlook for the year seem less cluttered and more streamlined.
ORGANIZE SOMETHING
Organization plays a huge roll in how successful and productive we feel. Pick one room or area in your house/life that has been on your mind and organize it. It could be something little that has been nagging you, or even something big, but put your organizing skills to work so that at least one area in your life heads into the New Year organized.
GO SEE A MOVIE
Chances are, you haven’t been to the movies in a while because you’ve been too busy. Going to the movies can be indulgent and a way to get away from the cares of the world for a few hours. New Years Day is the perfect day to pick a great movie and just experience.
SHOP
Those after holiday sales can be really excellent, and a fun way to ring in the New Year. By New Years Day you probably have a handle on what you want to spend your holiday money on, too. Now’s the day to shop for you.
TAKE A NAP
After all of the holiday festivities and running, running, running, it’s time for a nap. No one wants to start the New Year tired, so be sure to grab a few winks so that you aren’t dragging all year. {{snicker}}
