What Is The First Day Of Summer

Wondering when is the first day of summer?  This year the first day of summer is Sunday, June 21st! The first day of summer {or the summer solstice} is the longest day of the year.  It’s the point when the sun reaches its most northern point in the sky at noon.  From this date on, the days start getting shorter.
